- I am a Mother of two Boys, Ashanti , 7, and Ajani 2 and stepmother to four teenage boys...Shawn 20, Mychal 19, Tylor 15 ; Nathaniel 16. I am a wife to my soulmate and first love Christopher. We met at my birthday party when I was turning 18 and a few days later we had our first date...well that date never ended and we just began living together! Crazy. Impulsive. Totally off the seat of my pants? Yep. But I've learned to trust my instincts and to take risks. Two kids later and 10 happy years and I can say it's been one of the best risks taken in my life! I have never lived a life that goes by the books and being an artist hasn't been easy, I tried to tunnel my creative talents into Fashion Design and was good at it, then I went for something more secure ,Fashion Marketing, only to get out of school and be dissatisfied with the pay scale and lack of jobs. Knowing that I had to return to school for BA of some kind I finally decided to take the plunge and follow my dreams of living an artful life spent creating and teaching and am opting to go or a B.F.A. in Studio arts! Hello dear! Thanks for coming out of hiding. ;) I got the dress from Urban Outfitters, from their urban renewal line. But it has inspired me to try this on my own! I've got a small pile of clothes that I'm planning on cutting up and sewing together for some winter dresses. We'll see how it goes! :)
